Composition- Made from the highest quality alpha cotton cellulose.
One critical step in the manufacture of these filter paper is acid washing.
Paper are either single acid washed in hydrochloric acid or double acid washed in hydrochloric acid and then hydrofluoric acid to further reduce levels of SiO2,CaO and Fe2O3. Following the acid wash, all papers are washed with ultrapure water to normalise them.
Number 400 R: This is double acid washed paper for retaining medium size (5 -10 µm) precipitates. e.g. CaCO3, PbSO4, CaCO4, MnCo3, ZnCo3, ZnS, CuS, NO2, AgCl.
Number 400 R:
- Used in environmental monitoring, particularly in Air Pollution
- Used in determination of Silica contents in steel
- Filtration hydroxides (Iron or Aluminium) and Metallic aerosols or gelatinous.
