Viral Transport Media Kit (VTM Kit) is a specially designed medium for the collection and transportation of viruses. It is designed to maintain the optimum viability and virility of the viral sample.
These VTM kits are designed to be transport systems to collect and transport viruses as active in the laboratory especially for isolation. RNA designed to maintain the viability and deviation of the viral transport sample.
VTM Kit Hanks is made from balanced salt solution and contains a protective protein, antibiotics that control microbial and fungal contamination and control buffer pH. Phenol red is used as a ph indicator. A Viral Transport kit is intended for the collection and transport of clinical specimens containing viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasmas or urea plasmas from the collection site to the testing laboratory.
It is ready-to-use transport swab kit, designed to maintain viral viability and transport viruses in active form for isolation. The unique design of the swab ensures optimal elution of the specimen into the transport medium.
