Care & Maintenance
- Proper Storage
- Always store the electrode in storage solution or pH buffer, never in tap or deionized water.
- Use the supplied storage cap with solution to keep the junction hydrated and prevent clogging.
- Store upright when possible to minimize leakage and extend probe life.
Routine Cleaning - Sample residues, especially from organic-rich media, can reduce electrode sensitivity.
Use Milwaukee pH Maintenance Kit (PH-Main) to clean and condition the electrode.
Regularly soak the electrode in the cleaning solution for the best performance. - Electrode Inspection:
- Check the glass bulb for cracks or wear; replace if damaged.
- Ensure the cable and connectors are clean and intact.
- Rinse off salt deposits with distilled or deionized water.
- Calibration
- Regular calibration ensures accuracy, especially after cleaning or prolonged storage.
- Calibrate using fresh buffer solutions corresponding to your application’s range
